Introduction
The Activity Chooser is the interface you'll use to add new activities and resources to your course. It has several built-in features to help you quickly find, favorite, and learn more about the activities and resources available in AsULearn.
In the context of AsULearn, "Resources" refers to passive course content that requires the students to read, watch, and/or listen to course content in support of their learning. Resources rarely have a grade associated with them, with the exception of H5P and Lesson. "Activities" refers to active course content that requires student interaction, such as submitting an assignment, creating a forum post, or attempting a quiz. Most activities have a grade associated with them, or at least the option of assigning a grade.

Color-coded icons
The icons for AsULearn's built-in activity and resources use an accessible color-coding scheme:
- Pink: Assessments, such as Assignment and Quiz.
- Blue: Resources, such as File, Book, or Syllabus.
- Orange: Collaborative activities, such as Forum and Database.
- Green: Feedback activities, such as Choice and Questionnaire.
Please note that activity icons for third-party plugins usually do not follow this format.
Star and Search
There are nearly 30 types of activities or resources available by default in AsULearn. If you're having trouble finding a specific activity or resource, use the Search bar at the top of the Activity Choose.
You can also streamline your options by clicking the Star icon below activities and resources you frequently use. Clicking the Star icon will create a special tab inside Activity Chooser called Starred, which filters all your starred activities and resources. If you use this feature, Starred will be the first tab displayed when you open the Activity Chooser.
