Canva is an online graphic design tool that can be used to create presentations, posters, videos, digital signage graphics, social media posts, and more. Canva for Campus, which includes the same features as Canva Pro, is free and available to all faculty, staff, and students.

Benefits

Canva offers hundreds of templates and elements that can be easily customized. It also offers the ability to create Teams for real-time collaboration. It is a browser-based application that does not require a download, can be accessed from any device, and is free to use for App State users.

How to Access Canva

  1. Navigate to the Canva and click Log In.
    Navigate to canva website.

  2. Click Continue with Google and sign in with your App State credentials.
    Sign in with Google App State credentials.


  3. Once signed in, you will be redirected to the Canva design home screen.
    Once signed in you will be redirected to the Canva homepage.

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that houses a library of more than 21,000+ courses taught by real-world experts. Follow this guide to Set up an App State LinkedIn Learning Account (available to all App State employees and students) and gain access to these resources:

Personal or Previously Created Canva Accounts

If you have existing designs in a previously created Canva account, those designs will remain with the original account but can be transferred to another account:

  1. Hover over the file you want to transfer to your new account and click the three-dot icon in the upper right corner.
    Clicking on the three-dot icon to see settings for transferring your account.


  2. Click Share in the drop-down menu.
    Using the share button to send access to the Doc to another account.


  3. Change the Collaboration Link setting to Anyone with the Link can access this design, make sure Can edit is selected, and type in the email address you want to share the design with (This is where you would put in the email address associated with your other Canva account.)
    Enter usernames to grant them access.


  4. Check the Invite box and click Send.
    Fill out the invite box to send an email to the user you are inviting to have access to the document.


  5. Sign out of that account, then sign into the account with which you shared the document. Click the Accept Invite button at the top of the screen under your account drop-down.
    After signing into your alternate account, accept the invite from the original account.


  6. You can now share files between the two accounts by putting them into your Team account.
    You can now share access between both accounts.

  1. Click on the three-dot icon at the top right of the file you want to transfer.
    Clicking on the three-dot icon you can transfer designs between account and to other team members.


  2. Click the Copy to Another team drop-down menu.
    Select the optiont to copy to another team.


  3. Select the team you want to copy to and then click Copy.
    Click copy to confirm.

Canva accounts cannot be merged but users can switch from their personal accounts to a Team account by clicking on the account drop-down menu and switching to another team:
