Scanning options for Docuware can be configured in the Docuware Desktop Apps

Step-by-step guide

To change scanning options for Docuware go to the Desktop Apps.

Find the apps by clicking on the carat (“up” arrow) on the Taskbar  

Then right click on the DW icon and choose ‘Open DocuWare Desktop Apps’ 


See the instructions for how to install the Desktop App if this is missing.


Once the Desktop App is open go to the Scan tab:


Common areas to change are shown in the red box.

 Scan Mode – if you only have one-side documents choose Simplex.  For two-sided documents choose Duplex

 Color Mode – unless you truly need to capture the colors on the original document, choose the Black & White option.  The Color option will often pick up small marks on the back of documents or on your barcode page and will treat that as an additional scanned page that you don’t need.

 Delete blank pages – check this box for Docuware to remove blank pages automatically for you

  

If you wish to preview your scan before uploading it to a document tray, uncheck the Auto Upload box:


 If you want to save different scanning configurations, click the ‘Save as new scan configuration’ option in the bottom right corner after making your changes:


The new scan configuration can be named and then you can choose which scan configurations to use from this drop-down:
