The new employee's manager receives an email when their direct-report is added to the onboarding course. Below is an example of the email invitation.
Email Invitation to Onboarding Course
You have been added to the New Employee Orientation and Onboarding course in AsULearn as an "observer" so that you may support their onboarding experience. Select this link to login with your App State username and password [:courselink:]. Of particular interest to you will be the monthly checklists in each module. You will see we encourage employees to set up weekly meetings with you to cover the content in the checklists.
After your new employee completes the new employee orientation session on <date> from <time>, they will be granted access to this course as well. As required job training this course must be completed during the employee's regularly scheduled workday. They may work at their own pace and won't be restricted from working ahead, but new employees are encouraged to complete the course within their first 90 days on the job. Your employee's access to the course will never expire.
