Safe Exam Browser (SEB) is a customized web browser, available for Windows, macOS, and iOS. The application must be downloaded and installed on the device that the student uses to attempt the quiz. It controls access to resources like system functions (CTRL+C or V, Print Screen, etc), other websites and applications and prevents unauthorized resources being used during an exam. SEB runs on a local computer and it is connected via the internet to a learning management system.

If a quiz needs to be taken using the Safe Exam Browser, then SEB settings can be configuredby configured by the teacher in the quiz settings under the "Safe Exam Browser" section.
