App State employees who are eligible for the Tuition Waiver program may follow the steps in the table below to request the admission fee be waived.

If...Then...
Applying for admission to App State as an undergraduate

While completing the First-Year or Transfer/Non-Traditional student application, you will encounter an admission fee:

  1. Select the Fee-waiver payment option,
  2. Submit the application, and
  3. Send an email to processing@appstate.edu to notify the application processor that you have submitted an employee application and request the admission fee be waived. 
Applying for admission to App State's Graduate SchoolThe admission fee may not be waived. 
Applying for admission to a UNC System institution other than App StateContact the Admissions Office of the enrolling institution to ask if they will waive the admissions fee for UNC System employees.
