Temporary Supervisor Changes

This may be necessary for situations when an employee changes jobs after Feb 1 and they have to be moved back to their old supervisor, or where a supervisor may not be in place but the employee needs a review. Temporary supervisor changes made in the performance management portal are not reflected in an employee's job description or in Banner. Permanent Supervisor Changes

If a supervisor needs to be changed permanently for a position, an "Update Supervisor" position action needs to be submitted through PeopleAdmin. Follow the steps below:

  1. Log into Position Management in PeopleAdmin.
  2. Click on Position Descriptions
    1. Select the appropriate (SHRA, EHRA) position type
  3. Click on the employee's job title
  4. Click on Update Supervisor at top right
  5. Select "Update Supervisor" in the box titled "Purpose of Action"
  6. Select the radio button next to the correct Supervisor
  7. Click "Take Action on Position Action"
  8. Submit to Human Resources for review
  9. Click "Submit"

When HR receives and approves the action, the employee's position description, performance management portal, and Banner will be updated.
