Managers are responsible for stewarding employee development and holding employees accountable for completing their required employment obligations.

When an employee/student submits a Tuition Waiver application to their manager for review, the manager should respond in a timely manner (e.g. within 2 business days).  The manager should base their decision upon whether or not enrollment in the course will interfere with the satisfactory performance of the employee’s normal employment obligations. The table below provides guidance for the manager.
