Introduction
If you voluntarily submit your course to be analyzed by the Brickfield+ Accessibility Toolkit, you'll also need to add its companion block to your course. The primary benefits of the Accessibility+ Review block are:
- At-a-glance summary of the number of common errors in your course.
- Fast access to reports, guides, and a downloadable copy of your results.
- A course heat map that can be toggled on or off.
Adding the Accessibility+ Review block to your course
You shall not pass...until you add this block You'll need to add the Accessibility+ Review block to your course to review the results of your automated analysis. What errors can I review? The block will list errors in six categories: Image, layout, link, media, table, and text. At the bottom of the Accessibility review block, there are four icons. Each of them provides different views/options for reviewing the analysis and making your course content more accessible. Left to right, they represent:1. Turn editing on in your course.
2. Open the block drawer.
3. With the block drawer open, click +Add a block.
4. Select Accessibility+ Review from the list of available blocks.
5. When your voluntarily submitted course analysis is complete, the summarized results will display in the Accessibility+ Review block.
Heat map
The Accessibility+ Review block enables a heat map, which you can toggle on or off. Students cannot see the heat map. This is a simple tool to help sighted instructors rapidly identify content in their course that likely meets accessibility standards, as well as content that needs more attention. For instructors with visual impairments or blindness, labels are also included with all course content indicating if something passed or failed an accessibility analysis.
