Remote Tools for Access to Secure University Services 

The university has several tools available to faculty and staff that can assist with working remotely.

Visit remote.appstate.edu to explore remote tools and to get guidance on selecting the right tool for the right job.  

  • uDesk  will allow access to secure services such as Banner9, Web Focus, and Eprint. 
  • uStor will allow access to files located on M: and P: Drives
  • Pulse Secure VPN creates an encrypted tunnel into Appalachian's secure network, access your office computer from home
  • Visit remote.appstate.edu for installation and setup instructions for these services.  

Jabber Client for University Phone Lines

Maintaining reliable and familiar communications channels are critical to business continuity. 

(Note:  If you are not able to answer your campus line, all inbound phone calls will go directly to voicemail.  Every voicemail you receive will automatically be sent to your AppState email with full call details.)
