The Mobile Recording Studio Carts allow faculty to record in-person lectures or instructions using a variety of audio and video input without a computer. It is capable of accepting up to 4 HDMI video input and a variety of audio input. The equipment is housed on a mobile cart. It is currently equipped with a mounted (or standalone mic), a Sony 4K Camcorder, and a tripod.

As of September 2021, The Hayes School of Music currently has three (3) carts, one currently housed (but movable) in Professor Beth Wiese's office (BMC 309), one in Professor Ellie Wee's office (BMC 314) and one in Professor Soo Goh's office (BMC 315).

Please note the challenge that only the HDMI video switcher, video streaming processor, and Extron Touch Panel Controller share similarities between the three carts. The mixer, microphone and Ethernet switch differ from one to the next. For more guidance, you may wish to contact Professor Soo Goh at gohsk@appstate.edu.
