Cisco Jabber is a chat client which also allows users to receive calls to their desk phones from devices added to Cisco Jabber. Users with a physical campus phone can add devices to Cisco Jabber through uctools.appstate.edu (access to uctools.appstate.edu requires being on a VPN. For more information on VPN, see our VPN service entry). Users who do not have a physical campus phone must submit a service request to receive assistance from IT for acquiring Cisco Jabber.
Faculty and staff can use this service.
Cisco Jabber is available for installation on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices, and can be accessed through the Software Center on managed University machines.
