This service provides two separate functions to App State. It provides network security via network firewalls. We provide Network Address Translation (NAT) in order to provide more IP addresses to the Resnet and Student VLANS.
Firewalls and NAT are provided at network locations where necessary to enhance functionality.
NAT is provided in areas as necessary, as well as the majority of the Firewall functions. If you have questions regarding Firewalls, please contact NICS at nics.appstate.edu/contact.
