This article outlines troubleshooting steps for common issues with the AsULearn Mobile app. These steps can help resolve problems such as:

  • App crashes: Unexpectedly closing the app.
  • Slow performance: Lagging, freezing, or unresponsive behavior.
  • Data syncing problems: Issues with data not updating correctly between devices or with the server.
  • Login issues: Problems logging in, staying logged in, or accessing certain features.
  • Visual glitches: Incorrectly displayed content, missing elements, or strange visual effects.

Solution

  1. Update the AsULearn mobile app
    1. Check for updates: Open the app store (Google Play Store or App Store) and search for AsULearn. If an update is available, tap Update.
  2. Logout, delete login, and login again
    1. Logout: Within the AsULearn mobile app, go to the profile section and tap Log out.  
    2. Delete login credentials: If applicable, edit and delete the saved login information (username and password) for the site within the Switch account or Log in settings.
    3. Login again: Log back into the app using your correct credentials.
  3. Restart the device
    1. Turn off the device completely.
    2. Wait a few seconds.
    3. Turn the device back on.
  4. Synchronize the app
    1. Force a manual sync: Within the AsULearn Mobile app, browse to Synchronisation within the App settings and tap the sync/refresh icon for the site to initiate a manual sync.
  5. Delete site files in the app
    1. In the App settings, browse to Space usage and click the trash icon to delete any stored files on the device.
  6. Clear app cache
    1.  Android: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > AsULearn > Storage. Tap Clear Cache.
    2. iOS: Clearing the cache isn't a standard option in iOS. Reinstalling the app as described below will effectively clear the cache.
  7. Uninstall and reinstall the app
    1. Uninstall
      1. Android: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > AsULearn > Uninstall.
      2. iOS: Find the app icon on your home screen, tap and hold, then tap Remove App and confirm.
    2. Delete app data: This is crucial.
      1. Android: After uninstalling, go to Settings > Storage > Internal Storage > See all apps. Find the app in the list and tap on it. Tap Clear Data and then Clear Cache.
      2. iOS: App data is usually removed during the uninstall process.
    3. Reinstall: Download and install the app again from the app store (Google Play Store for Android, App Store for iOS).
  8. Update the Operating System (OS)
    1. Check for updates:
      1. Android: Go to Settings > System > System update.
      2. iOS: Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
    2. Install updates: If available, install any pending OS updates.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, always default to using the web application.
