Summary

Microsoft Office is a suite of productivity software applications developed by Microsoft. It includes commonly used programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. Microsoft Office is available to faculty and staff using PC machines through Software Center and to those using Macs through Self Service. Microsoft Office 365

Students, faculty, and staff can now download the Microsoft Office 365 Suite free of charge using their App State credentials.

Office 365 includes:

  • Microsoft Word

  • Microsoft Excel

  • Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Microsoft Outlook

  • Microsoft OneNote

  • Microsoft OneDrive

  • Microsoft CoPilot and CoPilot Studio*

  • Microsoft Publisher (PC only)

  • Microsoft Access (PC only)

*Protect privacy and ensure data security by refraining from entering sensitive or confidential information into any AI chat interfaces.

Who can use this software?

Faculty, Staff, & Students**New students will not have access until their first term begins.

Note: Any users who are assigned an Office 365 A1 license will no longer have access to the Microsoft Office desktop apps and will have to use web applications moving forward.
