A writing instruction program that supports faculty and pervades the entire college curriculum. WAC uses interdisciplinary approaches, such as WRITING TO LEARN and WRITING TO COMMUNICATE, in general education as well as in major courses of study.
A WAC Consultant is a professional writing instructor with special interests and training to support and encourage faculty as they teach writing. For those who teach introductory, WID, and Capstone courses in their fields, WAC consultants can offer assistance with writing pedagogy, including assignments, in-class activities, and assessment.
