Stata is a statistical software package used mostly for research in the fields of economics, sociology, political science, biomedicine, and epidemiology.
Who can use this software?
Faculty, staff, and students have access to this software on university-owned computers. It can be installed from Self Service on Mac computers and Software Center on Windows computers. The Stata/MP version which allows for faster analysis and more analysis capacity should be purchased at the departmental level using appropriate University procurement procedures.
