The institutional subscription for EndNote is no longer active, but it can still be purchased with departmental funds. We encourage you to migrate your EndNote library to Zotero or another citation management tool.

  1. Open EndNote and go to All References in your library.

  2. Highlight all the references.

  3. Click File, then Export.

  4. Choose where you want to save the file and name it.

  5. Set:

    • Save as type: Text File (.txt)

    • Output Style: RefMan (RIS) Export

  6. Check the box for Export Selected References.

  7. Click Save.

Your file is now in RIS format, which can be imported into most citation managers (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley, RefWorks, etc.).
