Information literacy refers to the ability to navigate the rapidly growing environment of information and technology; to recognize, find, select, locate, and evaluate the information researchers need; and to incorporate what they discover competently and responsibly in any field. Information-literate students demonstrate competencies in formulating research questions and using information ethically.
