Scholarship is a collection of knowledge and learning drawing on the research and publication of scholars in a field of study or discipline. In learning about their disciplines, students are often asked to “review scholarship” about a particular subject or theme. Literature reviews are a form of academic writing that reviews relevant scholarship.
