A user affiliation for Student users who have graduated or haven't registered for a class in the current term.

Bravura process

Joiner

Bravura grants membership in the Limited Student role when a student fails to register for a class or after graduation. This status mirrors the Student role entitlements with the exception of system access. Students will still be able to sign in and access their Google account. They will not have access to many software services (e.g. Office365, Adobe Cloud) nor will they have access to campus lab computers or printer services (i.e. PaperCut).

Interruption of term

Full or part time (including Non-Student Temp) employment at Appalachian State will end a user's Limited Student role. Work study, graduate assistantships, or other forms of student employment do not interrupt Limited Student role membership. The Limited Student role will not be reapplied should the user leave employment before the 14 month timeframe.

Readmission interval

Students failing to register for a consecutive term are allowed to readmit for up to one academic year. After this deadline, they will have to reapply to regain their student status. Limited Student is separate from this process. As such, users will retain Limited Student for two months after their readmit deadline.

Users readmitting outside of their grace period and Limited Student role will repeat the Admitted / Confirmed Student cycle.

Leaver:

After 14 months, the Limited Student role will be unassigned from the user. Limited students receive an email warning (Subject: Actions required before App State email account deletion) of its ends at these intervals.

At Limited Student's end, the Inactive Student role affiliation take its place. This role will deactivate their LDAP and AD account and their Google account OU will change to Managed/Inactive Student. Their eventual withdraw from the system will remove their Bravura profile. Their LDAP and AD account will then be orphaned in their inactive state.
