Resources
Institutional affiliation for former Student users.
Role Process
Data structure
- This is an inactive role affiliation. Users with this role as their primary affiliation will be deactivated in Bravura.
- An Inactive Student user is a member of the Inactive Student OU in Google.
- Inactive Students are members of the Inactive OU in Active Directory.
- The Inactive Account role controls the deactivation of LDAP and AD. Inactive Student is one of four roles that trigger the Inactive Account's application.
Activation
- Students who fail to register for another term or who have graduated are Limited Students for 14 months. These users transition to Inactive Student upon leaving Limited Student.
Departure
- Readmitted students will lose Inactive Student and gain their new enrollment role.
- University employment at the university will apply an active primary role affiliation that will offset the Inactive Student role.
- Inactive Student populations tend to exceed other population counts. To keep down licensing counts, Inactive Student users are hidden from Bravura after six months of membership.
- Hidden Inactive Students cannot be viewed or manipulated.
- Users will leave hidden access by readmission or employment.
- Should a manual user manipulate be required, the Help Desk can be contacted. They will work with IAM to restore their account.
