Instructions for updating the login password for your university-managed computer after changing your password while off campus.
App State computers do not get password updates when not connected to the campus network.
For Windows
- Log in to your computer with your former password.
- Connect to App State using our Virtual Private Network (VPN) software (Cisco Secure Client). You will need to log in to this software with your new password.
- Lock the computer, press Windows key + L.
- Log back in to your computer with your new password.

Best Practices
To prevent any issues in the future with syncing your password change on your university-issued device:
- Change your password while on campus and connected to eduroam or the App State network.
- Use your computer browser rather than a mobile device.
- Once your password has been changed, log off and then on again.
