Join an App State Google Group

To join one of App State's Google Groups, you must be logged into your App State Google account.

Find and Join a Group

Navigate to groups.google.com and make sure you are signed in to your App State account.
In the left sidebar menu, click All groups. From here you can either search by Group name or a description or scroll through the list of groups to find the one you want to join (Groups usually have a name that indicates the subject of the group).
Find the group you want to join. Click the three-dot icon next to the name of the group you want to join.
If the group is public, click on the Join group button to join. Public groups allow users to join freely and you will have access to the group immediately.

If the Group is public but requires approval to join, click the Ask to join group button. Groups that require approval to join will only be accessible after your request has been approved.

Restricted and Private Groups
If the group is a restricted or private group, you will not have either of the above options. You can click on the group name which will navigate you to the group page where you can find contact information for the group owners to request membership. Clicking the contact link will open an email directly to the group, allowing you to request membership.
