If enabled by the instructor, the group messaging feature in AsULearn allows group members to communicate in a group chat using the messaging feature. This messaging feature can be particularly useful when used with the AsULearn Mobile App.
Step-by-step guide
Follow these steps to enable group messaging
- Go to gear icon > More... > Course administration: Users tab > Groups
- Create group to create a new group; or select a group in the left column and Edit group settings
- Set Group messaging to Yes.
- Save changes
Group messaging is only an option for members of the group and the user will see the groups they belong to (with Group Messaging turned on) in the messaging drawer. Teachers do NOT see the option for group messaging with groups in a course unless they are added to the the group.
